Overview
Top Sets ("we", "us", "our") provides a hypertrophy-focused workout tracking application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose information when you use the Top Sets mobile application.
Who we are and how to contact us
Top Sets is operated as a sole trader established in India. We decide what personal information the app collects and why, and we are responsible for it.

Information we collect
• Account information: email, username, optional display name and avatar.
• Health & fitness data you choose to log: workouts, sets, exercises, body metrics, nutrition targets.
• Device metadata: push notification tokens, app version, device locale, coarse crash diagnostics via Sentry.
• Product analytics: anonymized event data via PostHog to understand feature adoption and retention. Your PostHog distinct id is a SHA-256 hash of your Top Sets user id.
• Subscription status: purchase receipts and entitlements via RevenueCat.
How we use your information
We use your information to operate Top Sets, deliver core training features, provide customer support, process subscriptions, communicate transactional messages, and improve the product. We do not sell your personal information.
Health data
Top Sets is not a medical device and the content inside the app does not constitute medical advice. You are responsible for deciding whether any training or nutrition prescription is appropriate for you.
The workouts, bodyweight, body measurements and progress photos you log are the most sensitive information in the app, and we treat them that way. We process them on your consent alone, given when you choose to enter them, and only to provide the features you are using. We do not use them for advertising, we do not sell them, and we do not disclose them to anyone beyond the processors listed below. You can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting the entry or your account; withdrawal does not affect processing already carried out.
Third-party services
We share personal information with a small number of providers who process it on our instructions under data processing agreements:
• Supabase — authentication, database, and storage.
• RevenueCat — in-app subscription management.
• PostHog — product analytics (self-hosted or US region depending on deployment).
• Sentry — crash reporting.
Apple and Google are not our processors. They are independent controllers, and they are the seller of record for App Store and Google Play purchases: the payment details you give them are governed by their own privacy policies and never reach us. We do not share your information with advertisers or data brokers.
International data transfers
We operate Top Sets from India, and the providers above process data in the United States and other countries. Your information therefore crosses borders in the ordinary course of the service working.
Each provider is bound by a data processing agreement, and applies encryption in transit and at rest and access controls.

How long we keep your information
We keep your account and the training data you log for as long as your account exists. That is the product’s purpose: a training history is only useful if it is still there years later. We do not impose an expiry on it, and we do not need to, because you can delete any of it at any time.
When you delete your account the deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone. Crash diagnostics and analytics events expire on our providers’ own retention schedules. Three things outlive deletion, none of which identify you inside the product: purchase records held by Apple, Google and RevenueCat under their financial-record policies, which we do not control and cannot delete; encrypted database backups, which disappear as a rolling window rolls off, because restoring a backup to remove one account would mean restoring everyone else’s data too; and aggregate counts that contain no row of yours.

Your choices
You can edit or delete any logged workout, set, measurement, or message from within the app. You can delete your entire account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete account; deletion is immediate and irreversible. Deleting your account does NOT cancel an active subscription — Apple and Google bill those, and only you can cancel them, from Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone or Play Store → Payments and subscriptions on Android. Your rights over your data
You can obtain a copy of your personal data, have inaccurate data corrected, have your data erased, receive your data in a portable machine-readable format, and withdraw any consent you have given at any time.
Most of these you can exercise yourself, immediately, without asking us: every entry in the app is editable and deletable, and Settings → Account → Delete account erases the lot. For anything else, email privacy@topsets.app. We reply within 30 days and we do not charge. We will ask you to confirm one detail only you would know before we act on a request, because erasure cannot be reversed and an email address alone is not proof of identity.
If the law where you live gives you further rights over your personal data, or a regulator to complain to, those apply in addition to this section and nothing here limits them.
Automated decisions and profiling
Top Sets computes training figures from what you log — estimated one-rep maxes, progression targets, volume summaries, adherence and streaks. These are informational, and you decide what to train and what to record.
We do not carry out automated decision-making that produces legal effects concerning you, or that similarly significantly affects you, and we do not profile you for advertising.
Children
Top Sets is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Changes to this policy
We will update the version and effective date at the top of this page when this policy changes. Material changes will be surfaced in-app.
